We are excited to have just completed another amazing year as a newly rebranded & expanded nonprofit! We continue to grow and focus on the needs of those with disabilities in our community.  We believe in empowering those with disabilities to advocate with us to promote inclusion and educate our community to create meaningful where all abilities are valued.

We are a PLATINUM-level GuideStar participant for our commitment to full transparency!

Our Needs

The past couple of years have been recovery years due to the slowdown during Covid.  We have also realized that the most underserved in our community are adults with disabilities.  When that bus stops coming, families realize that the services they have come to rely on through school districts are not there for adults.  Accessibility to transportation, housing, recreation and social opportunities are almost nonexistent in Frisco.  Our goal is to address the gaps in services methodically by creating awareness and promoting acceptance.  Frisco, Texas prides itself on having something for everyone, so why should the disability community be any different?
What do we need to make Frisco the most welcoming to those with disabilities?   We need people who are invested in being the change, putting in the effort and helping us raise both awareness and funds.  Some of specific things we need:

  1. Board and committee members
  2. Grant writers
  3. Volunteers who can provide classes or help organize social events
  4. Advocates who can meet with city officials, attend city council meetings and help raise awareness
  5. Funding for meeting space
  6. Businesses who will be the first to receive Disability Welcoming certification
  7. Companies willing to allow on-site job training or even would be willing to to hire someone with a disability to work part time.
  8. Networking opportunities
  9. Entrepreneurs and investors who can help us with our disability business incubator program
  10. Families who wish to see their family member with a disability thrive and are willing to help create the community that will support them living to their fullest potential.

Mission

We are committed to creating a community that is not just accepting, but inclusive and welcoming to those with disabilities. We want Frisco, Texas to truly have something for EVERYONE and to see the potential in people of all abilities.

Needs

SPACE to host events, programs, activities, job training, classes and recreational/social events.

Volunteers who are willing to put in the work to make a change.

Businesses that want to be certified as disability welcoming and lead the way.

Partners who can help us fund a dream of an interdependent community where all are valued.

Equity Statement

We ask the world to be inclusive of those whose brains and/or bodies work differently. To be included, you should first be inclusive. We welcome you regardless of your background, race, religion, preferences, abilities, disabilities, etc. The only requirement is that you are accepting of others and treat all with kindness.
