Help us celebrate our 26th Anniversary by providing much needed monetary needs to update and keep our authentic program for millions to learn about the historical impact that the cattle drives had for Fort Worth. No gift is to small or big.
Friends of the Fort Worth Herd - provides in-kind and monetary support for the Fort Worth Herd twice daily cattle drive, established to provide an authentic interpretation of the history of the cattle industry and its impact on the growth and prosperity of the City of Fort Worth. Previous year's event funds were utilized to support the Herd's educational programming which serviced over 16,700 school children last year, as well as the purchase of a new trailer to safely transport livestock for special appearances.
Funds collected go directly toward caring for the Herd and preserving this living piece of Fort Worth’s history. Support helps provide everything from saddles, tack, and enrichment items for the longhorns and horses, to essential daily care tools such as stall rakes and muck tubs. Beyond animal care, donations also make it possible to expand our outreach efforts—like creating educational trading cards and other materials that connect children and families to the Herd’s story. Every contribution strengthens the future of the Herd while keeping Western heritage alive for generations to come.
We do not discriminate against any race or gender within our organization, from the visitors, volunteers or staff.
