$10,000 Goal

First Tee - Fort Worth operates at our flagship location at Rockwood Park Golf Course, where we offer year-round programming at the Ben Hogan Learning Center. We also offer camps and classes at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Parker County, where we recently opened our second Ben Hogan Learning Center, and at Briscoe Elementary School through a pioneering partnership with Fort Worth ISD. Other sites are Benbrook Par 3, Texas 9 (east Fort Worth) and PGA TOUR Superstore in Southlake and Arlington. With our School Program, we also are able to extend our life skills curriculum to schools via implementation in the PE programs, as instructed by the school's coaches and PE teachers.

Our Needs

First Tee - Fort Worth is seeking funds for the various competitive and non-competitive opportunities provided through our programs. Our signature Life Skills classes provide a foundation for basic golf skills and the development of soft and hard skills kids and teens can take with them away from the course. Beyond this important foundation,  First Tee - Fort Worth offers opportunities for growth both on and off the links, including competitive team events between other First Tee chapters that allow our kids to experience the comradery and teamwork that is essential in the workplace. Competitive experiences also promote self-reliance and perseverance through challenging situations.

Outside of the competitive realm, there are many opportunities for youth to expand their public speaking, leadership, and relationship building skills locally and nationally.

On a national level, First Tee offers nine application-based opportunities for teens to experience resume building and interview processes to earn a spot in one of these prestigious events. First Tee - Fort Worth is proud to have had multiple teens selected for these events every year since their inception.

Funds raised from the NTX Giving Day Campaign will allow us to continue offering these incredible opportunities to our youth at little to no cost to them or their families, and thanks to the Jess Claiborne Junior Golf Foundation, these funds will be matched in 2023!
