Our Mission Is Our Name -Feed Lake Highlands- it is a lifeline for families in our community, providing more than just food — we nourish the body, mind, and soul of Lake Highlands. Through our weekly food distribution, neighbors in need receive nutritious groceries that ease the burden of hunger and bring hope to the table. Our Bookmobile takes literacy directly into neighborhoods, placing books and learning resources into the hands of children and adults who might otherwise go without. Reliable vehicles allow us to extend our reach, delivering food and resources where they’re needed most, while a visible presence in the community ensures that those seeking help know exactly where to find us. Every effort is rooted in compassion and connection, creating a place where relationships grow, spirits are lifted, and lives are transformed. This North Texas Giving Day, your gift fuels these vital services, helping us serve more families, expand our reach, and continue building a stronger, healthier Lake Highlands for all.
Our Needs

$25,000 – Expansion of Food Distribution Services
Addresses the growing need caused by rising food insecurity, allowing us to increase the amount and variety of food provided and serve more families in Lake Highlands. This critical funding will not only fight hunger but also restore dignity, health, and hope to our neighbors in Lake Highlands.

$12,000 – Vehicle Maintenance
Supports the upkeep of our cargo van, Bookmobile and passenger van. The cargo van is essential for picking up and delivering food, while the Bookmobile is used not only for literacy outreach but also as a mobile food distribution site during the school year, bringing meals directly to neighborhoods and children who may otherwise go without.

$15,000 – Mobile Food Distribution
Deliver nutritious food directly to neighborhoods during the school year, summer and beyond, reaching children and families who cannot come to our main site. Allows all three of our vehicles to work in tandem, reaching more neighborhoods than ever before. Together, they bring food directly to families who face barriers to transportation. This transformative gift ensures no child or senior in Lake Highlands is left hungry simply because they cannot get to us.

$8,000 – New Building Sign
A highly visible, welcoming sign! The new building sign will serve as a beacon of hope, guiding those in need directly to our doors without confusion or delay. Increased visibility will also strengthen our community presence, attracting new volunteers and partners who are essential to sustaining and growing our programs.
