Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) is about decoupling economic growth from environmental degradation, increasing resource efficiency, and promoting sustainable lifestyles. Per the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), SCP is βthe use of services and related products, which respond to basic needs and bring a better quality of life while minimizing the use of natural resources and toxic materials as well as the emissions of waste and pollutants over the life cycle of the service or product so as not to jeopardize the needs of future generations.β As responsible consumers, we must also rethink consumption habits, in order to contribute substantially to the transition towards consuming less resources and reducing waste.
Join anytime! While in-person is preferred, if you miss a class, you can watch the recording.
π Earn Your Certificate to showcase your readiness for green jobs and sustainability commitment on social media!
πService hours and awards can be earned for in person attendance
πOpen to ages 11+ (children under 11 are welcome with an adult).
