Mission

To engage all members of the Down syndrome community—children and adults, parents, and friends—to advocate, educate, and enable the fullest lives possible.

Needs

At the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas, we believe families should never have to navigate life with Down syndrome alone. From the moment of diagnosis through adulthood, we provide programs, resources, education, and connections that support individuals with Down syndrome and their families at every stage of life.

Our support begins with our New & Expectant Parent Program, providing families with a free Welcome Kit, personalized guidance, trusted resources, and opportunities to connect with other families. As children grow, our Babies & Toddlers, Youth, and Teen Programs offer age-appropriate education, social and recreational opportunities, family support, and guidance through important milestones such as school, IEPs, and transition planning.

In adulthood, our Adult Program focuses on independence, lifelong friendships, and meaningful community involvement while supporting individuals and families as they navigate employment, housing, continuing education, health and wellness, aging, and other areas of adult life.

Throughout the lifespan, DSG creates opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and their families to learn, connect, grow, and thrive together through educational programs, social events, recreational activities, self-advocate opportunities, family gatherings, and more.

Your North Texas Giving Day gift helps ensure that individuals with Down syndrome and their families have a place to turn at every stage of their journey.
