DIU exists "For the World." We have prepared more than 1,000 alumni to become global leaders who partner with local communities in more than 80 countries. Our holistic education focuses on rigorous learning, spiritual formation, professionalism, and real-world experience. As our alumni partner with leaders from communities worldwide and combine their experience and skills, together they forge solutions to locally expressed problems.
Around the world, we are:
--engaging in community literacy initiatives in Papua New Guinea
--teaching communities in Nigeria to celebrate their art forms
--catalyzing interfaith dialogue in the Middle East
--documenting endangered languages in Indonesia
--training students for community development among Deaf populations
--creating language and acculturation tools for refugees right here in the Metroplex
--and much more.

The mission of Dallas International University, as an institution of higher education, is to provide education and research opportunities leading to degrees in applied linguistics, culture studies, and development of languages. This education equips our alumni to serve marginalized people groups around the world.
In order to educate leaders from around the world, we rely on technology to bridge the thousands of miles between us. With the discontinuation of Windows 10 support in 2025, the university faces a pressing need to update all computers and systems to Windows 11. To rely on older systems with no Windows support would endanger the quality of our education and service to all of our distance students, anywhere from Florida to Thailand, and everywhere in-between.
Our 4TheWorld-Innovation Project aims to secure the funds necessary to replace 154 computer systems, tablets, video conferencing systems, and printers. Further facility and technology upgrades required include computer mobility, workstations, and video installations.
