The Council brings together people of diverse perspectives and backgrounds to engage in dialogue that builds understanding and inspires action.

The Council accomplishes its mission through several initiatives: (1) presentation of more than 90 public events annually that feature authoritative voices in international business, politics, diplomacy, human rights and culture; (2) managing protocol services for the City of Dallas; (3) coordinating U.S. Department of State-sponsored exchanges to North Texas through the International Visitor Program and (4) the Global Young Leaders education program for North Texas high school students.

Our Needs

Funding supports the operating costs associated with presenting more than 90 speakers annually that educate and inform the public on world affairs, as well as the ongoing and expanding initiatives of our Global Young Leaders education program (GYL) for high school students and teachers. GYL funding is needed to support International Career Day, Academic WorldQuest, Speakers-to-Schools, Junior World Affairs Councils, Leadership Trainings, Student Attendance at Council events and more.
