Denton Community Health Clinic

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 2011 to provide quality, comprehensive, and affordable health services to all, regardless of ability to pay, Denton Community Health offers subsidized health care services to those living at and below poverty level. Having served over 2500 individuals who lived at or below poverty level, we strive to treat all aspects of health in our patients. In addition to providing health services at the main office, the health care providers also go to the local soup kitchen to provide health care to the home, and educate local (UNT & TWU) healthcare students.
In the past we have helped individuals get their disability forms filled in properly and helping them work through the complicated process; we have worked with organizations that can help with housing and advocating for our patients, and we have formed partnerships with landlords to facilitate access to housing.

Our Needs

Another physician for the practice so we do not have to turn away individuals; a social worker to assist individuals in using the resources they need to get back on their feet and be productive community members; a counselor to help individuals learn improved coping behaviors and deal with stress, Community Health Worker to help individuals navigate the complex social and health systems better.

Mission

To provide quality, comprehensive, affordable health services to all, regardless of ability to pay.
