The Denton African American Scholarship Foundation, Inc is a 35+ year old organization that initially awarded a 250 dollar scholarship to one student. DAASF has awarded over 400,000 dollars to over 320 students since its inception. We receive most of our funding from individuals passionate about and committed to higher education. Several of the students have attended top academic schools in the country including Harvard, Stanford, MIT, UT Austin, Oklahoma University, Ohio State University, Southern Methodist University, etc.
1. Volunteers age 18 and older to assist with the Foundation's annual Denton Black Film Festival scheduled for January 2022.

Denton African American Scholarship Foundation, seeks volunteers to work with the Denton Black Film Festival. The film festival is a fundraising arm of the Scholarship Foundation. The skill sets of volunteers should include expert abilities in working with social media, technology, audio and sound systems.
Given that the cost of post-secondary education has increased multi-fold over the last decade, affording college is a far reaching dream for many high school graduates. In an effort to assure that youth have an opportunity to pursue their dream of earning a college degree, the Denton African American Scholarship Foundation engages in fund-raising initiatives to help fulfill a high school senior's dream of attaining a college education.
