About Dementia Friendly Fort Worth
Dementia Friendly Fort Worth is a dementia awareness and education initiative for all sectors of the community. We envision a community that honors, values, and supports people impacted by dementia.
We collaborate with our community to C.A.R.E. through Connection, Activities, Resources, and Education. Through dementia education, Dementia Friends training, Dementia Live® experiences, first responder training, Dementia Friendly business and organization certification, social programs, and care partner support, we work to create a more informed, safe, and respectful community for people living with dementia and their care partners.
Our Needs
People living with dementia and their care partners need connection, meaningful activities, accessible resources, and a community that understands how to support them. Dementia Friendly Fort Worth provides opportunities that help reduce isolation, increase understanding, and enrich the lives of people impacted by dementia.
Your North Texas Giving Day gift helps us continue providing education and awareness throughout the community, supporting programs such as our 5th Street Café and Lets Get Together virtual program, social opportunities for seniors, care partner support, and activities for people living with dementia. It also helps us expand our work with businesses, organizations, first responders, and community partners to build a more dementia-friendly Fort Worth.
Together, we can help create a community where people impacted by dementia are understood, supported, and included.
