Close the Gap: Help DCC Students Reach Graduation
A student’s education should not be cut short by financial hardship.
This North Texas Giving Day, Dallas Christian College is raising $10,000 for scholarships and student-success support. Your gift helps students remain in school, complete their degrees, and become biblically grounded leaders serving churches, classrooms, workplaces, communities, and the nations.
Who We Are
For more than 75 years, Dallas Christian College has equipped students to experience and engage in the redemptive and transformative work of Christ.
Every DCC undergraduate degree combines professional preparation with biblical and theological education. Students graduate prepared to serve as teachers, ministers, counselors, business leaders, coaches, missionaries, Bible translators, and leaders of disciple-making movements.
Today, DCC serves approximately 300 students annually through undergraduate, online, and graduate programs. Our diverse student community reflects both North Texas and the global Church:
- 60% of students identify as ethnic minorities.
- 52% receive Pell Grants.
- 95% receive some form of financial aid.
- DCC maintains a 1:10 faculty-to-student ratio.
- 85.9% of graduates are employed within three years.
- More than 5,000 DCC alumni serve in North Texas and around the world.
The Challenge
DCC students have the ability and calling to succeed, but many face significant financial barriers.
Our six-year graduation rate is 29% overall, compared with 66.7% among students who do not receive Pell Grants. That approximately 37-point gap shows how strongly financial circumstances can affect a student’s ability to finish.
Students frequently balance college with employment, family obligations, ministry, and service. An unexpected expense or an unpaid tuition balance can be enough to interrupt a promising student’s education.
This is not simply an enrollment challenge. It is a completion challenge—and one we can address together.
Your Gift Closes the Gap
Scholarships help students spend less time worrying about how to pay their next bill and more time learning, growing, and preparing to serve.
When combined with DCC’s close faculty relationships, academic advising, peer mentoring, and spiritual formation, financial assistance helps turn enrollment into persistence—and persistence into graduation.
Your investment produces a multiplying impact:
- More students complete their degrees.
- More churches receive prepared ministers and disciple-makers.
- More classrooms gain qualified, mission-minded teachers.
- More workplaces and communities gain leaders of character.
- More people encounter the Gospel through DCC graduates.
