$20,000 Goal

We provide valuable and enriching arts experiences to thousands of professional artists, community members, and students. As a non-profit art school, we derive funding from member dues, class and workshop tuition, as well as donations. The Craft Guild is a community in which people of all skill levels can discover their artistic spirit, ignite their creativity and expand their skills. Through diverse learning experiences, and interactions with and exposure to locally and internationally renowned artists, we build an increased appreciation of hand-crafted, original art.

Our Needs

First and foremost, as always, we WANT to thank all of our generous supporters. After a record-breaking year of attendance and member growth, The Craft Guild has now been able to add on the 5000 square feet of space we talked about last year and we have greatly increased the number of classes we are able of offer in current categories as well as having the space to offer additional new classes in woodworking and welding. Our 14,000 square feet of studio space is well known and admired among other art teachers and facilities nationwide. We are currently looking for qualified teachers for these new areas and although we have been able to purchase furniture and tools for our expanded current studios, we are still in need of supplies and tools for woodworking and welding. We remain extremely grateful to our teachers, students and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to pull all these areas together. Every donation, no matter the size, has been and will be put to good use!

Mission

The Craft Guild is Dallas' oldest arts learning center currently celebrating its 74th year of operation. We reach thousands every year as we follow our mission to enrich lives by providing an environment for learning, creating, and experiencing art. We offer classes, workshops, exhibits, and outreach programs in multiple media: metalsmithing (jewelry: fabrication, casting, metal clay), ceramics, glass, bookbinding, paper, fiber, drawing, painting, and more for both adults and youth. Our Young Artists program consists of Young Artists Homeschooler programs and week long Summer Camp programs.
