Connecting Point is a unique solution for families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We provide a community-based day program for individuals who have aged out of public schools. Each weekday, we welcome individuals with a variety of abilities to grow through a curriculum based on communication and social skill development, activities of daily living and community integration.

Connecting Point sprung from community need…

At the age of 17, Ryan Albers suffered a traumatic brain injury. At the public high school, his mother JoAnn Ryan found the special services her son would need, which lasted until he turned 21. JoAnn’s search for a similar exceptional day program was disappointing. This realization leads concerned parents, professionals, and businesspeople to join JoAnn in addressing this need. In June of 2014, Connecting Point opened their doors to provide an engaging program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Connecting Point thrives because of community support…

Texas Ranks 49th overall … (in helping) individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead more independent and productive lives. * Because funding from state programs provides less than 25% of our annual operating budget, we depend on community support.

When you donate to Connecting Point, you gift directly impacts the quality of life for our Teammates and their families!
