Christian Care Senior Living Communities are all about "caring". Enhancing the lives of seniors through spiritual, physical, social and recreational programs in our "calling". Three campuses throughout the Metroplex serve more than 1500 seniors annually in Allen, Fort Worth and Mesquite.

In 1947, a young minister, Ralph Godfrey, heard the "call" to provide a home for the aged for Christian men and women in North Texas. When the Godfrey's were asked years later why they sacrificed so much to care for retired ministers and their spouses their response was, "we didn't see it as a sacrifice, it is what God 'called' us to do".

In 1968, big-hearted men and women across Dallas were inspired by the visionary minister, Virgil Bentley, who saw a need for "Christian Care" of seniors in the Dallas area. The vision became a reality when Christian Care Center opened its doors on the Mesquite campus in September of 1973. The Mesquite campus includes: Retirement Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care Assisted Living, Rehabilitation, Nursing care and out patient therapy.

In 1981, Christian Care opened Lakewood Village to meet the needs of seniors in the Fort Worth area. The campus now serves over 400 seniors in Retirement Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care Assisted Living and out patient therapy.

In order to expand our reach, in 2006, Christian Care Hospice started as a service to help those who needed end of life care. Christian Care Hospice serves patients living in our communities and those living in Collin, Dallas, Rockwall and Tarrant counties, along with other cities in the North Texas area.

Home2Stay began in 2013 when Christian Care Senior Living Communities noticed personal assistance care services were needed for those wanting to remain in their homes as long as possible. Home2Stay care covers basic housekeeping duties, light cooking and several other services.

Without a current location to the North of the Metroplex, a need was seen to add a third campus. A door was opened by the Greenville Oaks Church of Christ when they gifted 5.1 acres of land to Christian Care Senior Living Communities. After much prayer and a feasibility study confirming the need, construction began in Allen in 2014. In the Fall of 2016, the Allen campus opened its doors in to include: Retirement Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care Assisted Living and out patient therapy.

Our mission to provide faith-based, exemplary care for seniors has burned brightly for more than seven decades and illuminates our path. Come and see why "Caring is our Calling".
"I have lived at Lakewood for 11 years. We have excellent exercise instruction. I like all the classes and participate 5 days a week. I also ride four miles per week on the stationary bike. I am 100 years old and use no walking aids (cane, walker, wheelchair or motorized scooter)".
-Jodie, Lakewood Village Resident about the Wellness Center

"Thank you for caring, and for directing this program. I only wish there would be enough time in my day to participate in all the classes, but the availability of the cardio machines has been a great help."
-George, Lakewood Village Resident about the Wellness Center

"It is relaxing and beautiful, I love the solitude. I do a lot of thinking and planning here at the lake."
-Robert , Lakewood Village Resident about the 5 acre lake
