CHPMP is comprised of dedicated volunteers who work countless hours in order to maintain The Pet Memorial Park. Our cemetery is a beautiful, well maintained resting place for family pets at a reasonable cost. CHPMP is proud to have a War Dog Monument in the Cedar Hill Pet Memorial Park as a tribute to the working animals that serve our community and country. We offer an advocacy program called the "Shadow Fund" for K9 handler in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex to help care for their retired partners. The Shadow Funds are used for the safety and healthcare of retired Police, Fire, Military, US Customs, Search & Rescue K9s. We provide assistance so that no K9 suffers or is euthanized because of a shortage of funds for medical care. In the event of a K9's passing, Cedar Hill Pet Memorial Project, Inc. will provide a free headstone and burial in the Heroes Section of the Pet Memorial Park.
The Cedar Hill Pet Cemetery Project is primarily a finally resting place your pets and has a section that honors K-9's. The Shadow Fund also assists K9's who worked hard for all of us when they are in need financial assistance for extreme medical care.

We were recently approached by Detective Martinez from the Grand Prairie Police department for assistance. Rocco his former Partner/Friend/Son was having major medical issues.

Rocco a Belgian Malinois was born Sept 11, 2007 in Belgium and was bought by Kasseberg K9s in Alabama to be trained as a working dog. In Feb of 2009 he was purchased by Grand Prairie PD and Detective Martinez was sent to Alabama for two months to train with him. When they returned to Grand Prairie, Rocco had certifications in both apprehension and narcotics detection. Rocco served for six years with Detective Martinez and the Grand Prairie PK but had to retire early due to a reoccurring leg injury. In Jan of 2015 he was retired and has been enjoying life ever since.

Detective Martinez heard about our organization and reached out to us for assistance. Rocco had initially been diagnosed with a Hernia, during that surgery he aspirated which lead to a X-Ray. The X-Ray showed that he had a large mass in his chest. Once healed from the first surgery the second surgery was scheduled to remove the larger tumor as well as smaller masses which had also been detected.

When learning the price of that next surgery he reached out to the Cedar Hill Pet Cemetery Project's Shadow Fund for assistance. After reviewing and discussing his application he was approved for some financial assistance. On July 10th Rocco had his surgery. He came home days later, and good news was gotten after testing. The 2nd mass was not cancerous, but a result of pneumonia. The 1st mass was cancerous, but was contained and fully removed. They do not expect it to return.

Rocco is on the road to a full recovery and we could not be happier for him and his family. Please see the photo collage of Rocco above.

He served us well while on duty and it was our privilege to be able to assist with his medical care.
