50 for 50: Celebrating Cassata’s Legacy
$0 Raised
Cassata Catholic High School was founded in 1975 by Sister Mary Bonaventure and Sister Mary Fulbright, who recognized a critical need for a school offering students facing academic and personal challenges an alternative educational environment. Rooted in Catholic values and inspired by Christ’s teachings, Cassata has grown into a vital outreach ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth. Cassata provides a supportive, individualized setting for students whose needs and learning styles have not been met by a traditional school setting, and who are at risk of dropping out.
Cassata serves an essential role in our community and has a demonstrated legacy of success in helping at-risk youth overcome significant barriers to academic and personal success. While academic success remains a central priority, Cassata goes beyond the classroom to address students’ emotional well-being, mental health, and learning differences, which are frequently factors that hinder timely graduation and long-term stability in general. Cassata is committed to educating and addressing the whole person, attending to each student’s spiritual, emotional, and material needs. Cassata meets every student’s needs and provides individualized support that empowers them to thrive not only in school, but in life.
Cassata Catholic High School’s greatest need is tuition assistance. Many of our students face significant challenges; academic, financial, and personal. Your generosity ensures that every student, regardless of circumstance, has access to Cassata’s unique, individualized academic model that helps them succeed.
To fulfill our mission and effectively serve our targeted student population, Cassata is committed to never turn a student away due to financial hardship. Achieving this goal requires substantial financial support. While all Cassata students are required to pay tuition on a sliding-scale based on household income and expenses, 85% of students required tuition assistance, and 63% qualified as low-income, paying only $1,250 in the 2024-2025 school year. The actual total cost of educating one student at Cassata is $10,240 per school year; an amount exceeding what most families can afford. The substantial variance between tuition revenue and the actual cost of education emphasizes the critical need for ongoing support from generous North Texas Giving Day donors.
Unlike most private schools, where tuition covers over 90% of operating expenses, with our sliding-scale tuition rates and financial assistance for families, Cassata’s tuition revenue covers less than 30%. This gap can only be bridged through the generosity of caring donors like you.
Your gift on North Texas Giving Day directly transforms lives—helping students stay in school, graduate, and build brighter futures. Give today and be part of a powerful community of generosity that ensures Cassata’s doors remain open to all who need us most.
Cassata is a coeducational Catholic high school with a nurturing staff that provides a rigorous curriculum for students who desire a unique, customized environment that prepares them for college and their chosen career path. Cassata's open enrollment, self-paced learning and flexible schedule enable students of all backgrounds to raise their educational level, complete their secondary education and become healthy, independent, productive citizens.
Tuition assistance remains the greatest need for Cassata Catholic High School families. We are committed to providing a quality education for students who thrive outside the traditional classroom model.
This North Texas Giving Day, your generosity ensures that Cassata can continue its 50-year legacy of opening doors and serving students who need us most. Together, we can give every student the chance to learn, graduate, and build a brighter future.
