$10,000 Goal

With over 15 years of experience, C5 Texas provides strong moral guidance, character development, positive role models, and life-changing academic and leadership opportunities for underserved youth. Our program is designed specifically to save at-risk youth from a future filled with crime and cyclical poverty. We help youth from highly distressed Greater Dallas families achieve life success through hard work, determination and opportunity. Most C5 Texas youth become the first members of their families to graduate high school and almost all are the first to attend college. C5 Texas works! In the 15 years since the original program was created, we have taken the program from an untested model to one that is widely recognized as a best-practice standard throughout the youth development community. Our results show our success:
•100% of our 5th year C5 students graduate high school
•98% of our graduates are accepted into college
•100% of our graduates receive financial aid and/or scholarships to attend college
•Our program has a 94% year-to-year retention rate
•C5 Texas students log over 10,000 hours of service in Texas communities each year

Our Needs

Like many other nonprofits in our North Texas region, C5 Texas is adapting to the current situation that is effecting our world right now. We are working nonstop more than ever to provide support to our C5 Leaders and their families with providing them with basic needs that may arise. We are also adapting our Leadership programming for our youth through our new virtual programming. Please help us raise money towards our goal of $10,000.00!

Mission

C5 Texas changes the odds for high-perfroming youth from risk-filled environments, inspiring them to pursue personal success and preparing them for leadership roles in college, work and their communities. We encourage youth to become: Character-driven, Community-focused, Challenge-ready, College-bound and Committed to a better future!

Needs

Each year, C5 Texas receives more than 200 7th grade applications from youth across the Dallas- Fort Worth metroplex. We interview every youth that submits an application into our program. We seek volunteer support between February- April to help us interview and select future C5 Leaders.

It's a C5 Texas ReUnion Event and you can help us facilitate a fun day for all our C5 Leaders. The day will consist of leadership activities, hot dogs and hamburgers, peer mentoring and gift presentations along with a community service component. We're seeking food, in-kind and monetary donations.

Pathways are the educational sessions we use to facilitate our 5 C's. During the school year, generally on the weekends, we conduct programming that exposes youth to college, career, community service, social awareness and leadership. We're seeking volunteers to facilitate C5's intentional curriculum and mentor youth, provide in-kind donations such as allergy-free snacks, and monetary donations for transportation, supplies, food and beverages and other expenses.

Equity Statement

The C5 Texas Youth Foundation is committed to creating and upholding an environment of diversity and inclusion that supports our mission of changing the odds for high potential youth by inspiring them to pursue personal success and preparing them for leadership roles in college, work and their communities.

This commitment is reflective in our Leaders, partners and the communities we serve. As an organization, we are determined to foster diversity, openness and respect throughout our programs, curriculums and youth experiences.
