Brighter Tomorrows

Since 1989, Brighter Tomorrows has provided comprehensive support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Brighter Tomorrows provides 24- hour support at two emergency shelters and transitional housing for families looking to find safety and independence.  Survivors served at Brighter Tomorrows can receive a myriad of services covering everything from meals and clothing to counseling, safety planning, case support, advocacy and so much more. Our toll-free emergency hotline ((972) 262-8383) can be called 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and our advocates are trained and ready to respond.

Brighter Tomorrows has sheltered an increasing number of clients from Dallas and Tarrant County, in addition to serving many families fleeing abusive situations throughout Texas and the Nation. Last fiscal year we provided shelter to 396 adults and children and answered close to 9,000 hotline calls. We know that education and access to support are critical for those leaving abusive situations. The education staff provide domestic violence and sexual assault prevention programs to students and adults in schools. churches and other community gatherings.

Our Needs

Last fiscal year, Brighter Tomorrows was able to provide a total of 7,523 shelter nights to survivors who needed emergency shelters.  The cost to provide one day of shelter for an individual is $90. Your donation today will help provide a place of refuge for victims.
