Based on the standards used in Clubhouse International programs for mental health recovery, BIND is the first and only Brain Injury Clubhouse located in Texas. Our vision is to lead the DFW area in provision of Member-driven services for adult survivors of brain injury and serve as the model for Brain Injury Clubhouses across the state of Texas. BIND empowers Members to maximize strengths while developing strategies to assist with meeting personal goals for community reintegration. Consistently, 74% or more of our program Members report stable or improved quality of life after attending the program for 6 months. More than 50% of our Members who have elected to leave the program have done so to return to gainful employment or productive community volunteering. All of our Members report dramatic increases in social, cognitive, artistic, and physical activity after joining BIND and through this engagement are able to maintain and continue recovery outside of and beyond the medical model.
BIND Members Say:
"At BIND, I'm not lonely."
"It's a safe place for me to re-learn skills in the company of others with similar injuries."
"BIND has given me a place to go and gives me purpose."
"When I wake up in the morning, I start thinking about all of my problems. But when I get to BIND I forget about them all and focus on what I'm good at."

BIND Volunteers Say:
"I have witnessed firsthand the growth and confidence that BIND has instilled in our traumatic brain injury survivors and cannot even imagine where they would be without it."

BIND Donors Say:
"We are so thrilled about the progress BIND has made. It is what we all hoped would happen. I share with everyone I can corner what BIND is and their mission. It is something you hope will not be needed, but I want people to know it is there if the need arises."
