Designed to transform the child welfare system and permanently change the way we see vulnerable children, CFS is the only technology platform of its kind. Developed in partnership with Tyler Technologies, CFS works to create digital profiles of children living in institutions and orphanages around the world — activating the first of a five-phase process that follows the principles of the Hague Convention. With access to the child’s family history, demographics and health records, social workers can better advocate for the child and begin the journey to place them in loving families. Scalable and configurable to each country’s unique needs, CFS empowers authorities to see and control a process that was previously absent and left children to languish for years in destitution. Through CFS, we can fix the child welfare system once and for all, ending pain and loneliness for millions of institutionalized children.

CFS establishes an audit trail of work for each child's complete digital case, providing visibility into the child welfare system. This reduces the number of children trafficked as they are no longer lost in the system.

Rather than help one child, CFS assists a country's entire population of institutionalized children find families. That means with every implementation, potentially thousands of vulnerable children get the chance to exit institutions into the loving arms of a family.

In addition to terminating the cycle of deprivation for an institution's current children, CFS helps to shorten the length of stay for future children, delivering positive systemic change in child welfare - one country at a time.

BEB contracts directly with central authorities, enabling them to do what's in the best interest of each child while driving transparency and accountability. Because CFS leads to fewer children aging out, ill-equipped to care for themselves, it also benefits countries' social economics.

Our Needs

Since BEB was founded in 2010 our focus remains the same – to help children living as orphans unite with loving families. The foundational step in this process has been to equip governments through Children First Software to create digital profiles for boys and girls living in children’s homes. We are proud that our partner countries have registered over 30,000 children – making visible their history, needs, and case status. However, this success in creating profiles is only the beginning.  CFS goes beyond these digital records to enable a transparent, highly structured process designed to identify a child’s best opportunity for family-based care.

This year, our team is hyper-focused on the importance of family and the ultimate goal of CFS: the placement of children with their forever families.  What might take years with paper records is taking months through CFS and the CFS mobile app. Once a child is registered within CFS the next step is to start building the path to a family.  CFS allows each country to define and complete the steps required to determine if a child can be reunified with her biological family or if she is eligible for kinship care, foster care, or domestic or international adoption.

Rather than help one child find a family, CFS helps a country’s entire population of institutionalized children find families. That means with every successful implementation, anywhere from several hundred to several thousands of vulnerable children have the chance to exit institutions into the loving arms of a family.

Join us this year for North Texas Giving Day and help equip our partner countries to move these 30,000+ children with CFS profiles quickly move to their forever families. And as more and more countries enhance their work through CFS, we know that even more children will be on the path to their home.

Mission

Millions of suffering children are hidden behind the walls of institutions and orphanages. The primary reason is simply because countries lack the digital infrastructure that creates visibility into who and where they are. Without a digital identity, institutionalized children face a bleak future. BEB works to capture comprehensive digital profiles of children through Children First Software (CFS), a technology-driven advocate designed to identify a child’s best opportunity for family-based care. Collaborating with countries around the world, we empower government authorities to move vulnerable children to their best future, a chance to grow and flourish in a loving family.

We are BEB, implementing systems that drive permanent and perpetual good for vulnerable children around the world.
