Founded in 1888, Baptist Standard Publishing is an independent, nonprofit media organization specializing in news, features, opinion and resources for Baptists in Texas through our partnership with churches, institutions and individuals associated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
We provide our content online, via our mobile app, on social media, and through our weekly edition. All our content is provided at no cost to our readers thanks to the generosity of our donors.
In 2022, we adopted a new brandmark that better expressed where we have been and where we are going. We believe God’s vibrant story is centered in the cross of Jesus Christ. It’s a global story, and the Baptist Standard exists to connect people throughout the world with it. Green, gray, and blue correspond to our core commitments. Yellow corresponds to our spirit.

Through all the changes during more than 130 years, we still strive to keep Baptists connected so we can do more together in the redeeming and reconciling work of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to connect God’s story and God’s people through information, inspiration and challenge.
To fulfill our mission, we provide faith-based news, opinion, and resources to the North Texas community through partnerships with numerous Baptist churches, ministries, educational organizations, and individuals across the region. We produce content in North Texas that educates our readers on the work Baptists are doing in our community to change lives.
We are not subsidized by the Baptist General Convention of Texas or any other convention, network, movement, institution or special interest group. That means we rely on our supporters to help us fulfill our mission to connect God's story and God's people.
