The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) North Texas - Audie Murphy Chapter is a non-profit educational and professional association recognized as the "Go To" organization for programs that support soldiers and their families in the North Texas community. Every year we raise awareness and funds to support Wounded Warrior programs in North Texas. In addition, AUSA North Texas - Audie Murphy Chapter provides interactive and memorable leader development experiences for high school and university ROTC students that enable chapter members to coach, teach, and mentor emerging Army leaders. And, as soldiers return from active service to the North Texas community, our Chapter partners with local veteran support organizations and employers to connect returning veterans and their spouses with companies offering meaningful employment options. We are also proud to organize and sponsor a program that works directly with companies that grant an employment interview to honorably discharged Soldiers, Army Reserve Soldiers, and newly commissioned Reserve, and National Guard Officers as they transition to private employment. The Program provides America's youth with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future.

Our Needs

In the midst of uncertainty, we can rely on the strength of one another. Doing our part individually helps our collective. Let's be there for those who have served and their families and for future leaders. AUSA North Texas - Audie Murphy has two (2) specific needs. Our first need is supporting Wounded Warriors. According to U.S. Census data, Dallas County is home to more than 95,000 U.S. military veterans. And, nearly 250,000 veterans live in Dallas-Fort Worth and Tarrant County. The need is great for those returning to civilian life as they are met with significant and various struggles. With the emotional, physical and personal stress inherent in military service (and especially related to combat-related duty), major concerns for veterans can include mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) resulting from memories of combat violence and other traumatic and life-threatening experiences. Our chapter raises funds for Wounded Warriors and their families living in North Texas. Please donate to help the Wounded Warriors in North Texas. Our second is providing ROTC leadership programs that prepare young men and women for leadership roles.
We hold that good leaders are made, not born, and leadership training and education are essential to building tomorrow's leaders. AUSA North Texas - Audie Murphy Chapter provides leadership training for young women and men in ROTC. Please donate to provide leadership training and education for young women and men enrolled in ROTC programs in North Texas. Thank you for your donation.

Mission

The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) North Texas - Audie Murphy Chapter's mission is to provide support to soldiers - Past, Present, and Future. The Chapter supports its soldiers, their families and Army civilians by providing a voice for the Army, and honoring those who have served. As the Army's premier, nonprofit, educational and professional association, we: (1) Educate those we serve (soldiers and their families, Army civilians, retired soldiers, and veterans, and the businesses and industries that support the Army) with programs; (2) Inform our members, Congress and the American public about issues affecting America's Army - Regular Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve; and (3) Connect America's Total Army, its industry partners, like-minded associations, and other supporters at the national, regional, and chapter levels.
