Arts Council Northeast (ArtsNET) serves sixteen cities: Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Haslet, Keller, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Saginaw, Roanoke, Southlake, Trophy Club, Watauga and Westlake. The seven school districts: Birdville, Carroll, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, Grapevine-Colleyville, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Keller, and Northwest as well as private schools and home schools. The population in North Tarrant and Southern Denton Counties is over 450,000 with a student population over 125,000.
SERVICES WE PROVIDE
MasterWorks Concert Series - 50-100 free concerts yearly, open to the public, in eight cities (Colleyville, Hurst, Richland Hills, Roanoke, Saginaw, Southlake, and Watauga)
Art on Wheels - Senior citizens and other abled often miss out on artistic endeavors where they can let their creativity blossom. This program enables all to participate in art classes. Currently there are classes held weekly throughout the community including Evergreen Senior Living facility in Keller, North Texas SNAP (a nonprofit organization serving individuals 17 and older living with intellectual and developmental disabilities) and other senior centers. Qualified artisans and crafters lead the sessions.
We are asking for funds for our Community Arts Program that includes our Art on Wheels for senior citizens and people with disabilities, and our free Masterworks Concert Series. Funding enables us to maintain, expand and enhance the programs that have become a valued part of North Tarrant County and continue to fulfill our mission in the many cities served by Arts Council Northeast.
The Community Art Programs address social challenges and community issues through the arts. It is designed to address and effect positive change in relation to one or more specific areas of community needs, (the under-served, health, socialization, self-esteem, bullying and creative thinking). Your financial support of the Arts Council will help us to achieve our goals and address these issues and make lifelong change in our community.
With a vision of access to the arts for all, our mission is to provide artistic, cultural, and educational opportunities to improve the quality of life in our communities.
ArtsNET wants to expand Art on Wheels to bring art therapy to even more senior and disabled communities, including minorities and populations of color that have been disproportionately impacted during these challenging times. With the depletion of Federal funding, our communities have less access to city programs and other free services are needed now more than ever.
ArtsNET wants to be the solution to this challenge, offering art programs virtually or in person for all clients.
ArtsNET is expanding and enjoying a supportive, new community Board of Directors. We have a very busy Executive Director and many talented and creative volunteers. Our budget is conservative as ArtsNET is still revamping, planning, and transitioning to a more financially stable, non-profit, cultural organization to better serve Tarrant County and surrounding areas.
