Arlington Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helping provide individuals and families with access to healthy, nutritious foods during critical times of need. Fighting hunger since 1978, Arlington Charities is the oldest social service organization in the city and the largest provider of supplemental food for people in need.
- Hunger, poverty, and homelessness affect many residents in our area. The need for access to fresh, quality groceries continues to increase with the rising costs of food, fuel, and basic living expenses.
- In 2022, Arlington Charities served Arlington residents with 1,696,541 pounds of food. Our high service rates and specialized programs are made possible in part through generous donations from individuals, groups, corporate sponsors, local grocers, and special events like North Texas Giving Day.
- We strive to provide supplemental food through our onsite Drive-Through Food Service, three monthly Mobile Food Markets, our Mobile Market Truck that brings fresh produce to the food deserts of the city, a satellite food pantry on the Southeast campus of Tarrant County College, Home Delivery programs for those who cannot access our facility, and lunch and hygiene items three days a week for our unhoused neighbors.
- Our mission is to lead and engage our community in the fight against hunger and poverty; providing help, creating hope.
