Every year we help hundreds of animals to transition from suffering and abandonment to finding a happy fur-ever home! You CAN be an ARF Rescue Ranger and be part of helping save the lives of over 200-300 abandoned and needy animals every year by making a donation today!
We have undertaken a more difficult path - we have veterinarians who partner with us so that we can work to help those animals that would normally be ignored. Many animals languish in shelters and never get adopted because they have medical conditions ranging from mild to severe!
Not only do we have veterinary partnerships, our medical director is a certified Veterinary Nurse who has an extensive background in emergency medical care. This allows us to rescue animals that would normally be unadoptable and rehabilitate them and find them happy, loving homes.
Our medical expenses are on the rise! At any given time we have up to $5000 in medical invoices to pay! Adoption fees only cover a small percentage of our expenses (about 30-35%)

ARF also has partnered with Earthwise Pet Supply in Flower Mound to operate a very small 7 day a week adoption center with cats and kittens. We typically perform 4-8 adoptions PER WEEK from our adoption center directly!
Although the store gives us plenty of support, we are responsible for the supplies that are used by ARF Rescue Rangers to care for the cats and kittens that live there while waiting for their fur-ever homes! This includes food, litter, cleaning supplies and toys!
The Animal Rescue Foundation of Texas (ARF) is a 501(c)3 certified, DFW-based, non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization comprised of an Adoption Centers and a network of foster homes.
Our primary mission is to rescue dogs and cats from high kill shelters, treat their medical, emotional and behavioral conditions, and find them stable, loving homes.
