The Arlington Athletic Hall of Honor salutes the contributions of a coach, teacher, administrator, athlete, fan, or booster club member whose advancement of athletics in Arlington ISD and beyond has made a profound difference in the lives of our young people. Each year five members will be selected to the Hall of Honor by the AAHHF committee. Once nominated, an individual will stay on the nomination list.
The Hall of Fame recognizes one AISD athlete from each decade from 1940 to today. Athletes will be selected by the Hall of Fame Committee.
Our Needs
The Arlington Athletics Hall of Honor Foundation is seeking to grow the Tom Vandergriff Night of Champions Banquet, the Hall of Honor and Fame, and to expand the number of scholarships awarded each year at the Tom Vandergriff Night of Champions Banquet to have a larger impact on more student-athletes in the Arlington ISD.
Mission
Established in 2016, The Arlington Athletics Hall of Honor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Foundation's focus will be to recognize and honor Arlington's great athletic history and honor current Arlington athletes, coaches, and those who support athletics.
The Hall of Fame acknowledges athletes whose accomplishments in the athletic arena have brought credit to Arlington, while the Hall of Honor recognizes coaches, teachers, administrators, and city leaders who have gone above and beyond in contributions and support of the athletic programs in Arlington.
The Arlington Athletics Hall of Honor Foundation also awards six (6) scholarships through the Eddy Peach Scholarship Fund to Arlington ISD graduating scholar-athletes.
