Our motto is "If an animal crosses our path and needs help, and we can help, We Help!"

We care for animals that have no other place to go.  Our kitties are often neonates or seniors or have injuries or illnesses.

Here are just a few that have crossed our path this year,

  • Omelet, bottle baby that developed GI issues and has undergone extensive testing and the underlying cause is still a mystery to our vets.
  • Mirindia, sweet young kitty that came to Pawprints with what was believed to be an ear infection. After several rounds of antibiotics, our vet decided the best course of treatment was to preform surgery and remove the ear.  Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with aggressive cancer.  She lived her remaining time with an amazing foster.
  • Miracilto, young kitten that was hit by a car as just a tiny baby.  He has radial never damage and needs to have an amputation.
  • Canta, precious baby that came to TPP with a severe URI.  She has a damaged eye and may require surgery.
  • Scotty, a loveable adult that was left by his family at a local shelter because he had developed a UTI.
  • Seniors who lost their homes due to no fault of their own.
  • Several kitties have needed extensive dental this year including a couple that had to have all their teeth removed.
  • Adults, kittens and teenagers that were abandoned in various stores and parking lots.
  • Pregnant moms, abandoned litters and bottle babies.
  • Numerous kitties with ringworms, giardia and coccidia.

Animal rescue is full of heartbreak and challenges.  There are so many souls that need help.  Our volunteers and fosters are amazing.  They give up their free time and pour their love into kitties that come into our care.  We strive to match our kitties with wonderful homes.

Our adoption fees cover basics for healthy kitties - deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchip. Your donations help us provide medications, treat injuries, provide care for special needs and support our emergency vet funds.

Your caring and generosity over the years has enabled us to save hundreds of cats and kittens - most that never knew love or care before we rescued them.

Mission

We are a small, informal rescue based in Dallas, Texas. Our mission is to offer assistance to abandoned, stray and unwanted cats and kittens, accepting animals that may be rejected by other rescues. We accept cats that are FIV positive, older animals and black cats.

We hold mobile adoption events on weekends at local pet stores.

We also assist members of the public with Trap/Neuter/Release of stray and feral cats.

Needs

1. We love new fosters! We have foster opportunities for bottle babies, weaned kittens, teenagers, adults, seniors and special needs.

2. We are always in need of transportation help. We need help getting supplies and cats to and from our weekend adoption events. We also periodically need help picking up animals from shelters, transporting animals from fosters to veterinary appointments and back, and transportation between fosters.

3. We can always use help at a weekend adoption event. This involves unloading and loading cages, tables, supplies, and carriers from our transport vehicle; set up and break down; monitoring cages to make sure doors are not left open; and fielding questions from the public.

4. Supplies like, cat food, litter, cages, and medicines - https://txpaws.wixsite.com/txpp/donate

5. Monetary funds to cover emergency vet visits, spays and neuters, vaccinations, medications and microchipping.
