Families adopting from MSRNT benefit from a robust foster program. Dogs are carefully evaluated medically, treated by veterinarians, and behaviorally assessed in private foster homes. All known information about the dog's behavior and health is disclosed to adopters. Given the second chance for love in a forever home, MSRNT dogs bring joy to their families, and are great companions to those who are lonely. Dogs who were victims of cruelty have become loving family pets, and some dogs have even gone on to become certified service dogs.
Our Needs
MONEY: MSRNT provides high quality care to rescued dogs, using partner veterinarians and a group of unpaid volunteers. All funds go directly to care for the dogs. Treatment provided includes full medical examinations, vaccinations, spay/neuter, dental and orthopedic care, heartworm treatment, treatment for skin infections and allergies, cataract surgery, and behavioral training. On average, about $1,109 is spent per dog before adoption, while our adoption fee is only $300. Outside donations are critical to bridge the gap and enable MSRNT to continue its work.

Mission
Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of North Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of abandoned, abused, and neglected Miniature Schnauzers or Schnauzer mixes. Dogs are primarily rescued from high-kill shelters, from owners no longer able to care for their pets, or from puppy mills. Since established in 2006, MSRNT has rescued and found forever homes for more than 1,950 dogs. The group also educates the public and potential adopters regarding humane, responsible animal care.
Needs
MSRNT needs money to provide each animal with the necessary veterinary examinations, vaccines and medical treatments to prepare Schnauzers for adoption to a forever home. MSRNT also needs more loving foster homes to support its rescue and adoption program.
