Friends of the Richardson Public Library contribute to the literary life of our community in many ways:

1. Support the Richardson Public Library through educational programs for youth and adults.

2. Provide Little Free Library kits to neighborhoods throughout our city.

3. Create programs for those with an interest in literary arts.

4. Offer an annual scholarship, which is awarded to a high school senior who volunteers at the library.

5. Contribute to the annual Richardson Reads One Book program.

6. Fund programs that directly benefit the people of Richardson, such as Wi-Fi Hotspots and educational programs from infancy through adulthood.

The mission of the Friends of the Richardson Public Library is to support the Richardson Public Library resources and services for all patrons, and to enrich the cultural opportunities available to library users.
