Our Impact
Who We Are
FLEAS (Friends of Little Elm Animal Support) was built by people who love this community and believe our animals are part of it, too.
We're an all-volunteer animal welfare nonprofit serving Little Elm and surrounding communities. We're volunteers, pet lovers and community members who believe that when an animal or family needs a little extra help, our community should be there.
Sometimes that means helping a family keep food in their pet's bowl. Sometimes it's making spay and neuter care more accessible. Sometimes it's providing a free microchip or stepping in when a shelter animal needs extra medical support.
That's what FLEAS is here to do: fill the gaps, bring people together and build a stronger safety net for community animals and the people who love them.

Keeping Pets With Their Families
Our Pet Food Pantry, Spay/Neuter Assistance and free microchip programs help remove some of the financial barriers that can make caring for a pet difficult.

Supporting Shelter Animals
We support the Little Elm Animal Shelter by providing funds and support for complex medical cases and offering adoption subsidies.

Building a Stronger Animal Welfare Community
We work with volunteers, local businesses, community organizations and animal welfare partners to bring more resources and support to animals throughout our area.

Giving Activity
Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives and well-being of Little Elm's animals by supporting shelter pets, helping families keep the pets they love, and promoting responsible pet ownership. Through our Shelter Surrender Prevention Program, we offer a Pet Food Pantry and free spay/neuter vouchers, and we partner with rescue groups, local businesses, and food banks to get animals into safe homes and keep them out of the shelter.
Needs
Our biggest needs right now are pet food and funding for spay/neuter assistance.
Demand for our Pet Food Pantry continues to grow, and accessible spay/neuter care is one of the most important tools we have to prevent unwanted litters and reduce future shelter intake.
Financial support also allows FLEAS to provide free microchips, fund complex medical cases for shelter animals, offer adoption subsidies, and respond when animals in our community need a little extra help.
Every gift—no matter the size—helps us keep showing up for the animals and people who rely on these programs.
