Founded in 1998 by the Dallas County Dental Society, the Dallas County Dental Society Foundation is a charitable resource for providing Dallas County with essential oral health care needs. Since 1998 the Dallas County Dental Society Foundation has had the opportunity to:
In 2025 alone, with the help of 146 volunteers, DCDS Foundation provided assistance to over 6030 people in Dallas County:
450 oral exams and oral hygiene kits to DISD after-school program students and an additional 930 oral hygiene kits and education to students during the 6th annual Give Kids a Smile-Dallas, at 13 locations with the help of 12 dentists and 61 other volunteers.
1050 Oral health kits and education were distributed during the Third Annual Dental Tree Program efforts in November at:
Tooth Talks at a Title I elementary school,
Meals on Wheels distribution, and
Vickery Meadow Food Pantry support.
4530 additional oral health kits and education were provided by DCDS Foundation volunteers during 12 community health fairs and 7 elementary school Tooth Talks in under-represented areas of Dallas.
The mission of Dallas County Dental Society Foundation is to enhance oral health in our community.
In 2026, the DCDS Foundation will help bring a Texas Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic to South Dallas—providing free dental care to more than 500 patients in just one weekend. Your support will make this life-changing event possible.
In addition, donations this year will strengthen programs that bring dental care directly to those who need it most:
Dental Tree Program – Every November, local dentists and their teams help serve Dallas County’s most at-risk populations. Together, we are planting the seeds of healthier smiles and stronger communities.
Scholarships for Future Dentists – Alongside our Public Health Scholarship, we are launching a new scholarship for third-year dental students, beginning in late 2025, to invest in the next generation of dental leaders.
Oral Health Kits & Education – Donations also provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and oral health education for underserved children, families, and seniors (distributed at health fairs, school-based Tooth Talks, and assisted living facilities.)
