Since January 2022 we have received over 1,100 calls seeking financial assistance. We have assisted with 577 bills totaling over $300,000.
We provide financial assistance, budget counseling, and job placement services. To be successful in our program a neighbor must hold a job for at least 30 days, have $300-$500 in savings, and maintain a balanced budget. In 2021 we had a 61% success rate with families completing our program.
We saw 320 children at our Back to School event in July. We were able to supply each child with a new backpack with all of their supplies, spirit wear, and two new pairs of tennis shoes. Most of these children were also able to shop for 3 new to them outfits at our shopping event prior to school starting.
We anticipate serving 350 children at Cornerstone Christmas this year. We provide Christmas gifts, stockings, new coats, Christmas tree, decorations and food for Christmas dinner.
The past 2 years, we have seen the need in our area increase over 100% year over year. To meet this need, we have made important and necessary changes in how we meet those needs, those changes have only served to make us stronger and have enabled us to respond to the needs of our neighbors more quickly.

Cornerstone NCT's mission is to empower our Neighbors in need through comprehensive services and relationships to create a cycle of empowerment.
The approach of walking alongside families, teaching them skills and providing resources is a key component of Cornerstone. Each Neighbor's situation is unique and so is the solution to their needs. Cornerstone goes beyond the immediate crisis to assist our Neighbors with long term action plans that will position them for future success.
