$10,000 Goal

Computers for the Blind (CFTB) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide for the community of the blind and visually impaired. We do this by providing affordable, accessible refurbished computers and training. To date, we have provided 19,000 computers to individuals across the U.S.! We partner with many organizations to help provide computers at the lowest cost and to make training available to empower users to be successful.

Computers for the Blind (CFTB) receives donations of decommissioned computers from businesses and individuals. Volunteers refurbish them and install the assistive technology needed to make them accessible to persons who are blind or visually impaired.

Giving Activity

Mission

The mission of Computers for the Blind (CFTB) is to open the world of information technology to persons who are blind or visually impaired by providing computer equipment, software and training. Serving North Texas for over 25 years.

Needs

CFTB sells our computers to customers at a greatly reduced price. The costs for a computer with special accessibility software and hardware can be prohibitive for many to purchase, especially in this current time of layoffs, job reductions, and unemployment. Your donation will help us keep these prices low so we can continue to provide this service as affordable as possible.
