These actions allow us take on the creative risk of developing a viable solution, create resources that contribute to lasting change, and empower champions with the means to replicate our successes.Â

Giving Summary
This year we are asking for your support to help us reach our goal of $10,000 to support the development of the Funkytown Mindful Market, an artisan and farmers market cultivating cultural mindfulness. As the first official farmer's market in East Side in over a generation, the Mindful Market serves as a key platform to increase food access to East Fort Worth. It is the only farmer's market in North Texas to actively attract and celebrate black, brown, and cultural vendors.Â
To elevate the Funkytown Mindful to the next phase (attracting more customers, promoting vendors, and hosting the market at higher frequency) will require an operational cost of approximately $70,000 per year. This is used to pay for dedicated staffing to coordinate vendors, promotional expenses, licensing fees, and supplies. Any gifts received also help keep market fees reasonable to help support our start up vendors, and the directly impact the communities we serve.
