CareFlite

CareFlite has been providing emergency transportation services to North Texas and its surrounding counties for over 40 years. We are ready to respond to any emergency need by both air and ground 24/7. Our 42 ground stations, 7 airbases and fixed-wing plane are ready to answer any dispatch sent by our local communication center in the heart of DFW at the Grand Prairie Municipal Airport. CareFlite is the only not-for-profit medical transport service in the state of Texas that provides air and ground response to its community. Being a 501(c)3 allows us to put revenue back into our equipment and training which empowers our clinicians to put our patient care above the bottom line. In addition to our 9-1-1 territories, we also support all area hospitals with interfacility transports which provides patients the best care possible by getting them to definitive care as soon as possible. CareFlite operates in seven business segments:

- 911/EMS Ground Service for Hill and Kaufman counties as well as the city of Balch Springs
- Specialty Care Transports
- Non-Emergency Interfacility Ground Ambulances
- Wheel Chair Vans
- Rotor Wing- Helicopter
- Fixed Wing- Aircraft
- Communications Center

Our Needs

Our organization is in need of many items related to our capital campaign including more vehicles to respond to emergencies, more advanced medical equipment for our clinicians to train with and commodities to keep our around-the-clock staff more comfortable and ready to respond to every call we receive.

Three of CareFlite's most urgent needs are:
Personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitation supplies stocked in an effort to keep our first responders safe and eliminate the further spread of COVID-19
.
An additional helicopter We have seven at present. This one helicopter for each of our air base stations . An additional helicopter will be used to cover during scheduled maintenance. CareFlite practices a very high level of maintenance which has resulted in a n enviable safety record for forty two years.
