Alliance Francaise Dallas

The Alliance Française de Dallas is a dynamic educational and cultural 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to promote the French language and Francophone cultures throughout the metroplex. Incorporated in Texas in 1972, the Alliance is one of the many Alliances Françaises across the globe — 832 in 131 countries, and 105 in the USA alone, as of 2021.

At AF Dallas, we offer French language classes for all ages and levels taught by native and certified French instructors. We are the only testing center in Texas offering official certifications such as DELF and TEF taken by those who wish to study abroad or pursue professional goals. 

We also participate and host various French related cultural activities to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, such as concerts, book clubs, lectures, movie screenings, wine tastings, cooking classes, and immersive workshops. Some of our most recent events include a book signing and Q&A session with French Maverick's player Frank Ntilikina, La Nuit des Idées where professionals in the agricultural field spoke about food sustainability, and an WWII talk with London Blitz survivor David Huntley.

Whether you are a native or fluent French speaker, a student of the language, or an interested non-French speaker, we encourage EVERYONE in the North Texas community to participate in our wide range of French classes and cultural activities offered throughout the year! 

Our Needs

This year, we have ambitious goals for AF Dallas and we need your help to reach those: 

• Library furniture for multiple age groups including tables, chairs and mobile shelving: $2,500
• Hybrid learning equipment for our classrooms including computer and video technology, microphone, collaborative software: $2,500
• Testing equipment and furniture to upgrade our testing center: $2,500
• Create a grant fund to help low income students and families to take and attend French classes: $1,500
• Sponsor school visits events and French related activities for students of all ages: $1,000

As a non-governmental organization, your contributions go directly to our teachers, staff, and necessary materials so we can provide high-quality French courses and meaningful cultural events. The Alliance Française de Dallas needs YOU and relies on your support!
