The Alliance Française de Dallas is a dynamic educational and cultural 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the French language and Francophone cultures throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Incorporated in Texas in 1972, the Alliance is part of a worldwide network of 829 Alliances Françaises in 135 countries, including more than 100 in the United States.

At Alliance Française de Dallas, we offer French language classes for all ages and levels, taught by qualified and experienced instructors. We are also the only testing center in Texas offering official French-language certifications such as the DELF, TEF, and DFP, helping students, professionals, and future immigrants or international students achieve their academic and professional goals.

Beyond the classroom, we bring French and Francophone culture to the wider North Texas community through free and accessible cultural events, lectures, film screenings, concerts, book signings, workshops, and celebrations.

A Year of French and Francophone Culture

This past year has been an exciting one for Alliance Française de Dallas, with cultural programming that brought together our members, students, and the broader DFW community.

One of our biggest highlights was Francophonie Month, which featured a special evening celebrating Haitian culture with American-Haitian actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, including a cultural program and book signing.

We also welcomed French archaeologist Christophe Besnier, who presented a fascinating lecture on the history and restoration of Notre-Dame following the fire. This free event was organized in partnership with Dallas College, making French culture and history accessible to an even wider audience.

Throughout the year, we also celebrated Bastille Day, hosted a French dictation with the Consul of Canada in Dallas, Susan Harper, and brought the community together for La Fête de la Musique and La Nuit Blanche.

These programs demonstrate the important role the Alliance Française plays in creating opportunities for people across North Texas to learn, connect, discover new cultures, and build bridges through the French language and Francophone cultures.

Our NTX Giving Day Goal: $4,000

We are asking our community to help us raise $4,000 this NTX Giving Day to support our growing classrooms, library, and facilities.

Your donation will help us provide the equipment and resources we need to continue improving the experience of our students and community:

• 12 office chairs – $480
• 6 desks for our classrooms – $1,800
• Library shelving – $800
• Bean Bag – $100
• Coating/finishing work – $1,000

Every contribution, large or small, helps us create a better space for learning, teaching, and cultural exchange.
