Vision: Every church will participate in serving as a vital partner to nonprofits and city agencies in meeting the needs of the under-resourced in our communities.
Mission: 3e United convenes churches to work together to help meet the larger needs in the community and manifest Christ's love through service.
Service Initiatives (See Initiatives for details.)
- 3e United helps to recruit churches to participate in the McKinney ISD Adopt A School program (and Frisco ISD schools located in McKinney). When a church adopts a school, they develop a collaborative relationship and seek to connect their resources with their particular schools’ needs. Many elementary schools have been adopted but now the need is for churches to adopt middle and high schools. As large as middle and high schools are, there will need to be teams of churches working together to adopt each school. Nowadays, our teenage students are experiencing middle and high school in ways that most of us adults did not. We are asking churches to have a supportive presence in the schools, to encourage students as well as teachers and staff.
-Host the Adopt A School Resource Conference (September 28, 2022) for churches, schools, and other interested parties to gather to share best practices, ideas, advice for new church adopters, and updates for the school year.
2. Develop opportunities for churches to partner together to offer (1) on site after-school child enrichment activities to under-resourced families and (2) isolated seniors living in low income apartment complexes, especially those without transportation.
3. Offer quarterly Community Table Talks, gatherings to convene churches, nonprofits, social service agencies, and city representatives to give updates on needs and other concerns from each of their unique perspectives, and to inform churches of how they can help to fill any gaps in resources needed for the well-being of the community.
4. Partner with local nonprofits by informing churches of their large group volunteer needs.
