Flute/Clarinet Challenge

Since 2006, the Lone Star Wind Orchestra (LSWO) has provided the North Texas community with exciting world-class performances. Our adult ensemble comprises exceptional musicians who believe in the power of Music Changing Lives. 

The Lone Star Wind Orchestra challenges its musicians each year to help us raise money through North Texas Giving Day. The flutes, clarinets, and bass clarinets need your help!

Your gift will help us: 

• Perform band favorites and exciting new works with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra.
• Create opportunities for students to pursue their dreams in higher education through our Music Changing Lives Scholarships.
• Challenge 65 outstanding high school musicians every season with a professional-style music experience in our Lone Star Youth Winds. These fantastic young musicians work with world-class composers, conductors, and professional musicians.
• Inspire the next generation of musicians by providing free tickets to LSWO concerts for our Lone Star Kids. For many of these Title I middle school students, it is their first live classical music experience!
• Educate youth of South Dallas with our St. Philip’s Percussion Ensemble. These amazing kids learn about music, history, improvisation, and instruments through the lens of the African Diaspora.
