Our beloved son left us as a hero donor last year. We honor his 1st Angelversary by these donations.

$250

raised by 3 people

On 9/18/21 we woke to the phone call no parent should ever receive. Our son Colton had been in a tragic car accident and was on life support at a nearby hospital. After multiple tests were performed, we were unfortunately told that his brain would never recover enough to support his body’s life. We were absolutely devastated. The evening before we had been happily together.  Shortly after being told all this, a representative from STA came in and asked if we knew that he had registered as a donor and if it would be something we would consider. I did know that he had been a blood donor and was not surprised he had registered. Knowing Colton’s giving nature, we knew this would be something he would want us to do for him. He was always there to help out anyone in need. We agreed, more testing was done and within two days matches had been found. On 9/21/21, our amazing hero was wheeled away to donate what we would find out to be five organs that would save four lives. Skin and tissue were also donated that would help many others. Throughout all that we experienced, the people at STA were there for anything we needed. At our darkest hours, they provided a light that showed us that while he may be gone, he will continue to live on. They answered all of our questions and kept us informed every step along the way, as well as keeping in touch with us afterward. As we are approaching Colton’s first Angelversary, we couldn’t think of a better way to honor him than to give to the ones who gave this tragedy some meaning. We are hosting Colton’s Cars for Life Meet and Car Run in our town on 9/18/22 and sending this out for all those that are unable to attend. We miss him and his amazing smile, sense of humor and giving and loving nature more and more everyday. Please help support us in keeping his memory alive with a donation to the ones that helped make his donation possible.
