The Oak Cliff Cultural District is a newly formed arts organization dedicated to supporting, uplifting and showcasing the vibrant and proud cultural and artistic life of Oak Cliff. Fiscally sponsored by the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts (OCSFA), we're hard at work getting a Cultural District designation from the Texas Commission on the Arts that will bring tens of thousands of dollars each year to our neighborhood through the arts and cultural organizations that call Oak Cliff home.
Home to nearly 20 arts and culture nonprofits, dozens of bars, restaurants and venues, and countless creatives in every discipline imaginable, the Oak Cliff Cultural District is bursting with authentic cultural experiences you won't find anywhere else in Dallas. Venues like the historic Texas Theatre and Turner House; arts groups like Flamenco Fever, Arts Mission Oak Cliff, Dallas Lowriders, and The Writer's Garret; local merchants and galleries like Top Ten Records, The Wild Detectives, Whose Books and Cold Soda Art Gallery; too many award-winning restaurants and taquerias to count; iconic festivals like Bastille on Bishop, Oak Cliff Film Festival, Dallas Is Lit! and Dia de los Muertos; we have all that, and so much more.
Your support this North Texas Giving Day (through donations to this fundraiser hosted by the OCSFA) provide the essential support we need to build the our organization, funding materials for our Cultural District application and laying the foundation for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that will eventually manage the district.
Thanks for your support and we'll see you in the Cliff!
