Thalia Makris - Dallas United Crew Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Thalia Makris and I am a freshman rower at Dallas United Crew. This is my 2nd year rowing for this team that I am incredibly proud to be a part of. Rowing has provided  me with an amazing group of teammates that push me to do my best every day. Rowing has shown me discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and has shaped me into the academic-athlete scholar I am today. Rowing has impacted my life by showing me that hard work really does pay off. Last June, a U15 4x+ boat that I was a part of competed at the US Youth Rowing Nationals in Florida. Our boat finished 2nd in the nation representing the state of Texas and the Central Region.

This year, Dallas United Crew is participating in North Texas Giving Day to raise funds for DUC and we would be immensely grateful for your support. Your contribution will help us take our team to new heights and empower more young individuals through the sport of rowing. Last year, the generous donations helped us receive an addition to our boathouse, the Slades Blades. This 4x+ boat helped 4 of my teammates and I medal nationally.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help us continue to grow our Dallas United Crew family and compete around the country at different regattas with high quality equipment.
