Support DAC this North Texas Giving Day!

The season of giving starts in September at Deaf Action Center, and we hope you'll join us by supporting our North Texas Giving Day fundraiser!

What causes are you passionate about?

• Advocacy- to learn what federal, state, and local laws apply to Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals with education, employment, medical, and legal.
• Technology- to learn about the most current technology to support the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. How about a light-up alarm clock for a high school student or a visual stethoscope for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing nurse? Or even figuring out how to communicate better with the assistive technology you already have- Tech is the best. 
• STAP- Free or reduced phones for Deaf and Hard of Hearing to connect with that newest hearing aid? YES!
• Senior Citizens- A place to call home and a family to support you. Weekly events at DAC and all around Dallas and more. These people know how to have fun and don't let anything stop them with their new van from last year. 
• Youth- Our youngest generation of deaf and hard of hearing needs all the support and care we can give them. Although we are restructuring things internally, wow, I can see the need, and I am sure you can too! Teach them everything they need to know to enter colleges and the workforce. It's just amazing. 
• Housing- Stable housing for DHH families who need it most? This is one of our newest programs, which is popular as there are many housing barriers. 

Not only have I been blessed to be a part of this organization since December of last year, but I also have been in a position where I needed the services provided by DAC in the past. And since working here I have been able to see more than ever the positive impact that our services provide while being able to break down barriers that the Deaf and Hard of Hearing face every day.

No matter where your passion lies, a gift to Deaf Action Center creates a positive change in the lives of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. Last year, we raised over $20,000 to purchase a new bus for our seniors. This year, we invite you to join the movement and help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 for our programs.
