At Well Grounded Coffee Community, we hire, train and mentor marginalized women to successfully learn skills, attain education, and integrate successfully into the community. Our Baristas come from prison, addictions, homelessness, etc. We give them a second chance for an amazing future by opening doors of opportunity.
1-HELP MORE WOMEN!!! Expand the work we are doing at the Coffee House to allow us to hire and train more Baristas. Currently we have two coffee houses in Dallas. We plan to add two new social enterprises this year: a laundering service and a dog grooming service. These will allow us to hire and serve more women.
2-OFFER HOUSING TO OUR BARISTAS!!! Purchase a house to create our own safe, affordable, supportive housing community. We have located a great house in a nearby neighborhood that would house six of our families in a "sober living house" style. We are raising the down payment to purchase this home. Please partner with us if you are able! Having our own housing will GREATLY reduce relapse.
