$1,000 Goal

The Foundation, established in 1995, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, guided by a volunteer board of directors who have a sincere interest in the success of our students and staff.

For nearly 30 years the HEB ISD Education Foundation has worked with community and corporate partners to make a difference the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District. The Education Foundation believes in investing in students and educators for the future of our community by inspiring each child to succeed.

To keep up with the increased demand for resources and to improve community engagement, the Education Foundation continues to align its strategic planning with HEB ISD to ensure every student is empowered today to excel tomorrow. We continue to serve HEB ISD's inspirational teachers, staff, and administration. Together we can better prepare students to be college - and career-ready and to meet their full potential.

Since its inception, the Education Foundation has raised and awarded almost $1.9m to our deserving HEB ISD classrooms and campuses through the Empowered to Excel grant program. The grant awards have included initiatives like teaching history through graphic novels, STEM Club, district-wide Makerspace stations, parent engagement programs, End-of-Course study programs to raise the success rate of students passing exams and connecting school learning with home accessibility.

The program of work includes supporting HEB ISD by welcoming new professionals to the district in the Education Foundation sponsored and hosted New Professionals lunch during the new hire orientation week. In its 22nd year, the Education Foundation Awards of Excellence program recognizes 33 outstanding high school seniors and their teacher mentors in 14 areas of study from LD Bell HS, Trinity HS, Buinger CTE Academy, and KEYS HS. The Education Foundation also supports HEB ISD initiatives like the HEB ISD Student Showcase, HEB Reads, and HEB ISD Hall of Fame. Through the ARE YOU IN? Inspire, Innovate, Invest - employee annual campaign over 770 HEB ISD staff financially support the Education Foundation with every dollar through the campaign given directly to the Empowered to Excel grant program.
