Frisco Family Services
From our humble beginnings more than 29 years ago, Frisco Family Services has been dedicated to our community. We demonstrate care and support while helping families maintain their dignity as they navigate through difficult life situations.
Through emergency financial assistance, food distribution through Frisco's only community-based food source, seasonal programs, adult life skills classes, and more, we help those in our community who face tough choices between keeping food on their table, keeping utilities connected, or staying in their homes. The Frisco Family Services Market provides food to individuals, families, and seniors at no cost. The Market offers in-person shopping like a regular grocery store, allowing clients to shop with dignity. Our clients also have the option to shop virtually using Market Express to order ahead and schedule a pickup. Clients who are homebound can use the Mobile Market, our home-delivery service.
During the 2022-2023 fiscal year through June 2023, Frisco Family Services served 4,731 individuals (a 14% increase from the previous fiscal year), distributed more than 686,000 meals and provided nearly $1.7 million in annual program support. The increased client need for assistance is attributed to the rapidly growing Frisco population and nearby communities. Additional contributing factors for increased need is inflation, including the cost of food and gasoline, along with rent and mortgage increases and lingering post-pandemic-related effects.
