For over 17 years, Embrace has provided life changing programs and resources to vulnerable children and their caregivers. Our services are provided at no cost to the families we serve thanks to the generosity of our community, partner churches, and the many volunteers who give their time and talent to improve the lives of children. By partnering with Embrace you're helping children lingering in the foster care system find the love and stability of a forever family. You're ministering to foster parents through respite care, support groups and valuable training. You're supporting teens who "age-out" of foster care without an adoptive family. When you volunteer or give to Embrace, you're making a difference.
Embrace has identified numerous gaps in the foster care system that put children at risk, and developed innovative solutions that keep children safe, and families whole. Our recruitment efforts have made incredible progress in resolving the crisis-level shortage of foster and adoptive parents in our community. Neglected and abused children who were once left sleeping overnight in CPS offices waiting for placement can now stay at Embrace's "Collin House" in McKinney. Additionally, families involved in our foster parent retention programs (support groups, training, and respite) foster 400% longer than the state average. Embrace works with teens "aging-out" of foster care by connecting them with local resources and tools to maintain a comfortable, clean, safe home.

Embrace programs and resources are open to families from all child placing agencies. If you are in need of services and live outside the DFW area (DFPS Region 3), we are happy to connect you with one of our partner non-profit organizations in your region or state, or help you launch similar efforts in your area.
1. We need a sprinkler system! Currently volunteers are steadily showing up to move hoses and portable sprinklers around to maintain a welcoming and homey environment for the foster children staying onsite. A sprinkler system would help us conserve water and take advantage of the most efficient times to water.

Embrace proudly serves foster and adoptive families licensed with any child placing agency, at-risk children and their caregivers, kinship care providers, and foster care alumni. While our primary focus is Collin County, we serve families across North Texas.
A majority of our clients are low-income children and families, and their caregivers. Most of our services and programs are provided at no cost, low-cost, or with the possibility of scholarship based on need. Children with disabilities or special needs are at increased risk of abuse or neglect, and represent a large portion of the children we serve. At Embrace, we’re passionate about creating a culture of inclusion, safety, and adventure for children with all levels of developmental, emotional, behavioral, and medical needs.
Lastly, our organization exists to reflect God’s heart for vulnerable, neglected, marginalized, abused and abandoned children. We do not require attendance or participation in religious/faith activities as a condition of service delivery, nor do we require adherence to religious/faith beliefs as a condition of service.
