For nearly two decades, Embrace has worked to ensure that vulnerable children in North Texas have what every child deserves: a loving, stable home and a community that will stand beside them. Guided by our Christian faith, Embrace serves children and young adults impacted by foster care and the foster, adoptive, and kinship families who care for them. We identify gaps that put children and families at risk and create practical, innovative solutions to meet those needs.
Thanks to the generosity of our match donors, every dollar given to Embrace will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $31,000! When our community gives $31,000, it becomes $62,000 to bless the children and families we serve.
Here are just a few of the ways your North Texas Giving Day gift can help:
• Find loving, permanent families for children waiting in foster care
• Strengthen foster, adoptive, and kinship families with support, training, respite, and practical resources
• Provide children who have experienced abuse or neglect with opportunities to feel valued, supported, and connected
• Equip young adults transitioning from foster care with the resources and relationships they need to build safe, stable futures
The impact is real. In 2025, Embrace and our incredible volunteers served more than 1,300 children in foster, adoptive, and kinship care through events and programs. We provided 28 First Apartment Kits to young adults who aged out of foster care, helping them establish safe and comfortable living spaces of their own. And more than 60 foster, adoptive, and kinship moms received a weekend of much-needed rest, encouragement, and training at our annual Moms' Retreat.
Every Embrace program and resource is provided at low to no cost to the children and families we serve. That is possible because people like you choose to stand with us. Together, we can give them hope, stability, family, and a place to belong.
At Embrace, our mission is connecting willing hands with opportunities to serve children in foster, adoptive, and kinship care.
If you are a foster parent, adoptive parent, kinship care provider or foster alumni, it is our joy to serve you & your family. Embrace programs and resources are open to families from all child placing agencies. If you are in need of services and live outside the DFW area (DFPS Region 3), we are happy to connect you with one of our partner non-profit organizations in your region or state, or help you launch similar efforts in your area.
Our generous community has helped Embrace meet some pretty big practical needs over the years. This year, we have a couple of new items on our wish list:
**New Carpet — $7,200+**
Our carpet has seen a lot of children, families, volunteers, and activity over the years—and it shows! New carpet would give our space a much-needed refresh while allowing us to keep program dollars focused on serving children and families.
**Four New Desks — $1,300**
As our team works to meet the needs of children and families across North Texas, functional workspaces matter. Four new desks would help us better equip our staff without diverting funds from our programs.

Embrace proudly serves foster and adoptive families licensed with any child placing agency, at-risk children and their caregivers, kinship care providers, and foster care alumni. While our primary focus is Collin County, we serve families across North Texas.
A majority of our clients are low-income children and families, and their caregivers. Most of our services and programs are provided at no cost, low-cost, or with the possibility of scholarship based on need. Children with disabilities or special needs are at increased risk of abuse or neglect, and represent a large portion of the children we serve. At Embrace, we’re passionate about creating a culture of inclusion, safety, and adventure for children with all levels of developmental, emotional, behavioral, and medical needs.
Lastly, our organization exists to reflect God’s heart for vulnerable, neglected, marginalized, abused and abandoned children. We do not require attendance or participation in religious/faith activities as a condition of service delivery, nor do we require adherence to religious/faith beliefs as a condition of service.
