Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue was founded on December 9, 2014, by a small but fiercely passionate group of volunteers with one mission: to change the lives of vulnerable Texas dogs and cats. We are a 100% foster-based organization, which means every animal we rescue gets to experience the love and comfort of a home—not a cage—until they find their forever families.
Texas leads the nation in shelter euthanasia, a heartbreaking result of pet overpopulation, limited access to affordable spay/neuter services, and weak animal welfare laws. And in recent years, especially 2024, the situation has grown even more dire. Financial struggles have forced many families to surrender their pets or abandon them altogether. Shelters are beyond capacity, desperate and pleading for help.
This is where we step in.
Our team watches shelter lists daily, searching for those who have run out of time—senior dogs with soulful eyes, sick or injured strays, discarded litters, and animals labeled “unadoptable.” We rescue as many as our resources allow, and we don’t discriminate based on age, breed, or medical need. Every life matters.
Once in our care, they receive top-quality veterinary treatment and the loving embrace of a foster home. We nurture them back to health—physically and emotionally—until they’re ready to be adopted into safe, compassionate homes. And for those who may not have long, our hospice foster program ensures they live their final chapter in peace, dignity, and love.
We rely entirely on the generosity of our community—donations, fundraisers, and grants—to continue this lifesaving work. There is no greater reward than witnessing an animal once forgotten or left to suffer blossom into a joyful, healthy companion.
At Allie’s Haven, we believe that every life is worth fighting for. And we won’t stop until each one gets a second chance.
How You Can Help Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue
At Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue, our mission to save and care for abandoned, neglected, and homeless animals is only possible through the compassion and support of our community. As a foster-based, volunteer-run organization, we depend entirely on the generosity of others to continue our life-saving work. Here are some of our most urgent needs — and how you can make a difference:
🐾 Donations
We are always in need of financial support to cover veterinary care, medical treatments, and essential supplies. Every dollar helps us rescue and rehabilitate more animals.
We also gratefully accept in-kind donations, including:
🏠 Foster Homes Needed
Fostering saves lives. Without foster homes, we cannot rescue animals in need. Fosters provide a safe and loving temporary home while we find permanent placements. We provide all medical care and can supply food and other essentials — you provide the love, patience, and a soft place to land.
💞 Volunteers Welcome
We’re always looking for passionate, reliable volunteers to help with:
We cannot do this without you. If you’re able to help in any way — by donating, fostering, or volunteering — you’re not just supporting a rescue; you’re saving lives.
