Allie's Haven Animal Rescue was formed on December 9th, 2014 by a small group of passionate volunteers that want to make the difference in the lives of our Texas dogs and cats. We are 100% foster based organization which gives our rescued animals a loving temporary home until they are adopted. Texas has the highest shelter euthanasia numbers of all states due to pet overpopulation, lack of low cost spay/neuter and animal welfare laws. Sadly, 2022 has proven to be one of the worst years for the animals due to the economy as people are struggling financially and are unable to care for their pets. Owner surrenders and that are disposed of in fields or on the streets have exponentially risen. Shelters have been dangerously over capacity and begging rescues for help.
This is where we come in. Our team monitors the shelter pages for the pets with little to no chance of getting out alive. We work hard to save as many lives as we have resources. We provide the best quality care until they are deemed healthy and are placed in approved loving homes. We are 100% foster based organization where the animals live in loving temporary homes until adopted. We solely rely on donations, fundraisers and grants to continue our mission.
Nothing is more rewarding then to see puppies, dogs and cats stuck in a high kill shelter or suffering on the streets in horrible condition and watch them transition into happy and healthy pets that go on to live amazing lives. We do not discriminate on breed, age or health of an animal and we give our 100% to each life we rescue.
To look into a senior dogs soulful eyes and seeing the pain as they were surrendered to a high kill shelter often times because their owners have passed away, no longer wanted or health of the animal. They become quickly depressed, confused and scared. Most shelters put them 1st on the euthanasia list as they are deemed un-adoptable. We get them out, medically treat them and either place them up for adoption or in our hospice foster program where they will know love for the rest of their lives.
