At The Xena Project NTX, we are dedicated to rescuing and advocating for animals that have been left behind in apartments or rental homes, often after an eviction. Founded by a team of property management professionals with over a decade of experience, our mission is to provide a safe haven for these vulnerable animals and ensure they receive the care and love they deserve.
Having spent 10 years in the property management industry, our founder witnessed firsthand the plight of numerous pets abandoned by their owners. These experiences inspired the creation of our rescue organization, transforming compassion into action.
Our work involves:
Your support on North Texas Giving Day will help us expand our rescue operations, provide medical care and rehabilitation for more animals, and continue our advocacy work. Together, we can give these abandoned pets a second chance at life.
Join us in making a difference. Every donation helps save lives and brings us closer to a world where no animal is left behind.
At The Xena Project NTX, our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate animals abandoned or left behind in rental homes and apartment communities. We provide essential medical care, nurturing shelter, and love until these animals find their forever homes. Our dedication to animal welfare drives us to advocate for their well-being and ensure they receive the care and compassion they deserve. Through our proactive rescue initiatives, we strive to make a significant impact by saving and improving the lives of animals in need.
The Xena Project NTX relies on the generous support of our community to continue rescuing and caring for abandoned animals. Here's how you can help:
Volunteers: We urgently need volunteers to assist with social media management, newsletter creation, adoption events, and fundraising efforts. Your time and skills can make a huge difference in our mission.
Fosters: Providing temporary homes for our rescued animals is crucial. We need compassionate foster families to help us continue intaking and rehabilitating more animals.
Donations and Support: Ongoing financial support is essential for our operations. Your donations help cover medical expenses, food, supplies, and other vital needs for the animals in our care.
Join us in our mission to ensure that no animal is left behind. Together, we can create a brighter future for these deserving pets.
At The Xena Project NTX, we are committed to fostering a community where everyone, regardless of their background, race, or sexual identity, has access to resources for pet care. We believe that both people and animals deserve compassion, respect, and equitable treatment.
Our core values include:
Inclusivity: We strive to create an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected.
Equity: We are dedicated to providing equal access to resources and opportunities for all, ensuring that everyone in our community can care for their pets.

To support these values, we are committed to:
Educational Outreach: Providing educational resources and support to underserved communities to promote responsible pet ownership.
Accessible Services: Ensuring our services are accessible to all, including marginalized and underrepresented groups.
Diverse and Inclusive Practices: Continuously evaluating and improving our practices to uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work.
We hold ourselves accountable by regularly assessing our progress and seeking feedback from our community to ensure we are meeting our equity goals. Together, we can create a more just and compassionate world for both people and animals.
