Our Needs

Operational Fund — Sustain TISA’s Mission

Strong institutions require a strong foundation. Your support of TISA’s Operational Fund helps sustain the essential work that makes our mission possible—from academic programs and faculty support to student services, technology, administration, and community engagement.

Your gift provides TISA with the flexibility and resources needed to operate effectively, strengthen our programs, and continue preparing knowledgeable, principled Muslim leaders to serve communities across America.

Support the foundation behind the mission.

Student Scholarships — Invest in the Next Generation

Education should be accessible to students who have the passion and potential to serve, regardless of financial circumstances. Your support of TISA’s Student Scholarship Fund helps remove financial barriers for students pursuing rigorous, faith-centered Islamic education and leadership training.

Scholarships help prepare future scholars, imams, chaplains, educators, counselors, and community leaders with the knowledge, character, and skills needed to serve Muslim communities across America.

Support a student. Develop a leader. Strengthen our communities for generations to come.

Futures Fund — Invest in Accreditation & TISA’s Future

The TISA Futures Fund is an investment in the long-term strength and sustainability of Islamic higher education in America. Your support helps TISA prioritize and advance its accreditation efforts, strengthen its academic infrastructure, enhance institutional capacity, and build the systems necessary for sustainable growth.

Accreditation is more than a milestone—it strengthens academic credibility, expands opportunities for students, and helps establish a lasting institution capable of serving generations to come.

Invest in accreditation. Strengthen the institution. Help build the future of Islamic scholarship and leadership in America.

Mission

Our mission is to cultivate generations of world class doers and thinkers who lead from an Islamic paradigm while engaging contemporary challenges and opportunities. Our vision is a world constantly bettered by religious scholarship and ethical leadership.

When you support TISA, you support the development of stronger, more ethical and effective American Muslim leaders in North Texas and beyond; Leaders who represent the diversity of voices and experiences in the American Muslim community; Leaders who bridge the gap between the traditions of our faith and the contemporary challenges we face everyday. Your contribution goes on to transform our leadership, our communities, and our families for generations to come.

Equity Statement

TISA will strive to do the following in carrying out its actions as an educational institution:

1. Include the diversity of thought and opinion within the Muslim American Community as long as it resonates with the ethos and meaning of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)

2. Commit to equitable treatment and opportunity for all men and women and elimination of all forms of discrimination throughout the institution

3. Make its offerings accessible to people from economically stressed communities:

Allah states in the Qur’an:

“O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may get to know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware.”

— Qur’an 49:13

This powerful verse provides a strong foundation for a commitment to diversity and inclusion at an Islamic educational institution such as The Islamic Seminary of America (TISA). Following the example of the community established by the Prophet Muhammad (s) more than 1,400 years ago, TISA strives not only for excellence in Islamic education but also to model inclusiveness, dignity, mutual respect, and equal opportunity within the Muslim community and broader American society.

TISA’s commitment to inclusiveness is firmly grounded in Islamic principles as reflected in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (s), as well as the rich scholarly tradition developed over more than fourteen centuries. These foundational sources guide our efforts to cultivate an educational community in which people from diverse backgrounds are respected, valued, and given meaningful opportunities to learn, contribute, serve, and lead.
